### Chapter 4: Algebra Puzzle

The values of:

guitar: 15

star:18

apple:4

steps:

First, we can see on the third row to the right, three stars adds up to 54. We can thus divide 53 by 3, getting the value of one star (18).

53 /3 =18

1 star is 18.

Then, we see on the top row, two guitars and a star adds up to 48. 48 minus 1 star's value (18), you will get the value of two guitar (30). To find the value of 1 guitar, divide 30 divide by 2.

48-18=30

30 /2 =15

1 guitar is 15.

After that, to find the value of an apple, take 34 minus the value of 2 guitars(30). --refer to the middle row(vertical).

34-30=4

1 apple is 4.
